Alfred J. Discepolo, CPA, MA, Senior Partner
Mr. Discepolo is a Commonwealth licensed CPA with over 30 Years experience in accounting, tax and financial management in several Fortune 100 companies as a Controller, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. He has multi-state tax experience and has successfully represented clients with the IRS and the Commonwealth in obtaining penalty abatements, tax payment installment arrangements and offer in compromise.
Mr. Discepolo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Accountants, National Association of Tax Professionals and holds a Masters Degree in economics from Fordham University and Bachelor of Arts from St. Peter's College.
William L. Smith, Partner
Mr. Smith is a native of Northumberland County and has previously owned an accounting and tax practice in Burgess for ten years prior to working in branch management in one of the Northern Neck's leading banks. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with small business owners assisting with business financial planning, business plan development, and tax planning.
Mr. Smith is a past President of the Kilmarnock Chamber of Commerce, and is currently serving as Vice Mayor of the Town of Kilmarnock. He is a member of the American Cancer Society, the local Chapter of the March of Dimes and leads Compassionate Ministries at the White Stone Church of The Nazarene. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in accounting from James Madison University.
Arthur G. Neal, IRS Enrolled Agent, Tax Partner
Mr. Neal is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS who can practice equally with CPAs and attorneys before the IRS. His prior experience includes 29 years with the IRS where he was given successive responsibility progressing from Revenue Agent to Large Case Manager where he supervised Fortune 500 IRS audits involving various specialists employed by the IRS as well as IRS personnel.
Mr. Neal holds a Masters of Business Administration from Averett University and a Bachelor of Business Science Degree in accounting from Old Dominion University.
Doris B. Mills, Staff Accountant
Ms. Mills is a native of Lancaster county and was previously the office manager and bookkeeper for Jones-Ash and Faulkner Family Funeral Homes in Northumberland County. She was also the bookkeeper for Rowe Jenkins Mechanical of Hampton, Virginia. Doris is proficient in Quickbooks, payroll to include retirement accounts, insurances, vacation and sick leave.
Doris is a member, past president and EMT with Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad. She is also a licensed Notary for the State of Virginia.
